The BR05 enhances the Borea range with a retro-chic speaker, designed to bridge the gap between vintage and modernity. Designed to offer a generous introduction to high-fidelity audio, it combines the range’s iconic EFS tweeter with a new 21 cm cellulose pulp midwoofer.

Developed specifically for this model, it has been meticulously engineered to preserve TRIANGLE’s signature sound – a balance of liveliness and naturalness – whilst delivering a beautiful sense of spaciousness. Its optimised cabinet, combined with the DVAS architecture and a double vent port, enables controlled reproduction of low frequencies. Available in five finishes, the BR05 can be paired with the S03 stand, featuring an 8° tilt, for elegant integration and optimised listening.

From the very first notes, the BR05 impresses with its solid foundation. Its 21 cm driver delivers a full, rich bass. Its reproduction of vocal timbres, instruments and percussion offers a remarkable sense of presence for a speaker of this size.

This energy is combined with a refined and nuanced sound. The work carried out by the texture of the speaker’s natural cellulose pulp cone, combined with the EFS tweeter, ensures that all the precision and musicality characteristic of the BOREA range are preserved.

A DEDICATED DESIGN

At the heart of the BR05 lies a brand-new 21 cm midwoofer, developed specifically for this model. Far from seeking only to maximise power in the low frequencies, much of the development work focused on the quality of the midrange, which is essential to the speaker’s musicality.

  • Cellulose pulp: This material, which is synonymous with TRIANGLE, plays a central role here. This paper-like texture, with no surface treatment, promotes a rich and nuanced reproduction of timbres, lending voices and instruments a sense of substance and presence.

  • The dust cap and cone profile have been meticulously tuned to achieve the best possible balance between impact and finesse. The result is a rich soundstage, capable of combining deep bass with the subtlety of the midrange and the musical enjoyment characteristic of the BOREA signature.

  • Based on developments carried out for the BR10, its largely openwork structure ensures high rigidity whilst promoting airflow around the voice coil. This improves heat dissipation and helps maintain consistent performance during the most dynamic passages.

  • The motor has been generously sized, ensuring precise control of the membrane, even when listening at high volumes. The central core features a copper demodulation ring, which drastically reduces distortion.

OPTIMISED CABINETRY

The BR05 cabinet has not only been designed to house its large-format speaker, but also to bring out its full potential.

1 – High-density materials
The cabinet is constructed from high-density MDF panels, with a thickness of up to 21 mm.

2 – Reinforced structure
The cabinet incorporates two additional reinforcements to provide a more stable mechanical base for the loudspeaker. This minimises internal resonance even at high listening volumes.

3 - DVAS system
This structure helps to dissipate mechanical energy and reduces vibrations transmitted to the cabinet.

Dual bass-reflex port

CONTROLLED AIRFLOW

Thanks to its long excursion, the 21 cm driver is capable of moving a large volume of air. Using a single port could have generated excessive air velocity, leading to turbulence and flow noise at high listening levels.

The dual-port design distributes this airflow over a larger surface area, improving bass clarity. This design therefore contributes to better power handling, more stable reproduction and deep, perfectly controlled low frequencies.
