A new award for the SOLSTICE 3 🏆
The ON-mag editorial team has just published its full review of our SOLSTICE 3 bookshelf speaker and awarded it the maximum rating: 5 out of 5 stars. An unequivocal verdict, summarized right in the title of the test: "The best compact Hi-Fi speaker of the season."
A benchmark distinction
ON-mag is one of the most widely read French media outlets among high-fidelity and home cinema enthusiasts. Their review goes beyond just listening tests: each speaker also undergoes laboratory measurements, allowing subjective impressions to be compared with objective data (sensitivity, frequency response, impedance). ON-mag is also a member of EISA, the European jury that recognized the SOLSTICE 3 this summer. A 5/5 rating under these conditions is not given lightly.
The SOLSTICE 3, the successor to the Comète EZ
SOLSTICE is "The new spirit of TRIANGLE." This original range succeeds the Esprit EZ, and the SOLSTICE 3 takes over from the Comète EZ, one of the greatest successes in our catalog. A two-way bass-reflex speaker with a front-firing port, it is designed for rooms from 10 to 30 m², whether placed on stands or on either side of a television.
Everything has been rethought:
- A new TZ2540MG horn-loaded tweeter represents a significant portion of the acoustic innovations developed for SOLSTICE. It relies on the combination of two new acoustic architectures developed specifically for the range.
- A mid-bass driver was developed to offer an optimal balance between energy, naturalness, and versatility. Its natural cellulose pulp cone is distinguished by its ability to render timbres with finesse while maintaining excellent responsiveness.
- Cabinetry with rounded edges, made of 19 to 22 mm panels, internally reinforced by a brace supported by the woofer's motor.
- A dual-material base made of cast iron covered in silicone, which slightly tilts the cabinet backward and provides a laminar front port, which is more discreet and efficient than a classic tubular port.
All this for a frequency response of 48 Hz to 22,000 Hz (±3 dB), a sensitivity of 90 dB, a power handling of 90 W RMS, and four finishes: Teak, Birch, White, and Black.
What ON-mag says
The journalist first notes the ease of integration: despite a generous size for a bookshelf speaker (37 cm deep), the front port allows it to be placed near a wall, and its high sensitivity makes it easy to drive, without sacrificing the range of the response as many small speakers do.
When listening, he praises a bass with authority, impact, and articulation, and a new, perfectly controlled tweeter: the soundstage opens up in width without ever sounding projected, with great presence in the upper frequencies and a tonal balance he even deems slightly warm. All in all, he finds it to be a highly coherent ensemble, full of energy and temperament.
His conclusion: the SOLSTICE 3 ranks among the best speakers in its category, and his verdict can be summed up in one phrase — a sound that is "generous, dynamic, and lively."

A range racking up awards
These 5 stars add to the 2026-2027 EISA Award for "Best Product" for the SOLSTICE 3 in the bookshelf speaker category, and the Diapason d'Or awarded to its big sister, the SOLSTICE 8 floorstander. Three distinctions in a few weeks, all sharing the same acoustic philosophy: naturalness, dynamics, and tonal balance above all else.
